Movement Meditation
with Kia
(Helsinki, autumn 2026)
In spring 2026 I deepened into movement meditation practices and now it's time to share the joy and calmness it has brought.
Based on interest, I will organise weekly movement meditation sessions in Helsinki. By filling the form you can express your wishes for time slots and I can contact you when the sessions have been confirmed. Filling the form isn't a commitment to participate, you can decide on it later.
Sessions can be organised either in Finnish or in English, depending on the participants. The practice is mostly done in silence apart from music playing on the background, and guidance is easy to understand also without being fluent in Finnish or in English.
What is movement meditation?
Movement meditation consists of four phases, each of them lasting for 15 minutes:
1) Shaking
2) Free movement / dancing
3) Meditation
4) Savasana
The practice is not by any means part of practicing any kind of religion. The roots of the practice are in India. The purpose of the practice is to shift our focus from our overthinking mind to being fully present in the present moment, by moving our body. The practice suits well a modern busy person, who craves for more presence, unhurriedness and piece of mind into their daily life.

Classes can be arranged in the Helsinki area either at your own space or at a studio (for an additional fee).
Prices:
1:1 - 89€/h (incl. VAT), per person
Groups: 159€/h (incl. VAT), max. 8 people

Puistojoogaa Kumpulassa 2026
Puistojoogat jatkuvat jälleen Helsingin Kumpulassa tiistaisin klo 18-19 (ti 30.6. ei tuntia).
Tunnit ovat avoimia kaikille - niin ensikertalaisille kuin pidempään jooganneillekin. Tunneilla ei tarvitse osata mitään valmiiksi, voit tulla mukaan juuri sellaisena kuin olet.
Ota mukaasi joogamatto ja vesipullo.
Kian ohjauksessa saat hengähtää, olla läsnä tässä hetkessä ja antaa liikkeen syntyä kehoa kuunnellen. Kuulet ympärilläsi tuulen ja lehtien havinan, voit antaa katseen levätä luonnon vehreydessä ja tuntea pehmeän nurmen allasi.
