It's been a few years since I did my yoga teacher training in Bali at the House of Om, in their Amertham location in spring 2023. Since then, even though my original plan was to only teach online, I've also taught different types of in-person yoga classes from Vinyasa Flow to Hot Yin and 'pay-what-you-want' type park yoga.
I often get questions (mainly from my most successful TikTok video) if I would recommend House of Om to others, and very simply put: yes I would - wiiiith a few points that I think you should bear in mind if you're considering doing yours with them as well!
It's not a retreat! It's actually 200 hours of yoga in just three weeks, starting from 6am and ending at 6.30pm, with only two days off (+self study). But it's amazing to see how much you can learn in such a short time and how you get stronger from the daily asana practice. It is such an immersive experience that you get to live in that kind of yoga bubble, living and breathing yoga.

House of Om have multiple locations and I only have experience from Amertham, which is maybe not as luxurious as the Mansion, but provided everything I needed. During the two free days you could go to Ubud or just chill by the pool. The FOOD was AMAZING, there was always enough and it was super nutritious with different super foods included.
I shared a room and I was very happy with the accommodation. But do know that especially in the rainy season things can get a bit damp, and different animals and bugs are a normal feature in Bali all year round. If you're looking for a super luxurious experience then maybe consider the other locations, but nonetheless, the Amertham location is very good value for the money, and a lot better than an average hostel in Bali.

If you've read this far, I have a little gift for you. With this affiliate link* you can get 5% off from your YTT at the House of Om Amertham (it's over 100USD!), the discount is already included at check-out (*I will also get a commission). I wouldn't recommend this YTT if I hadn't enjoyed it and if I didn't think it gave me enough knowledge and confidence to start teaching and sharing the wisdom of yoga <3
I'm happy to help if you have any questions!
Love,
Kia
